WIND ENERGY
To begin with, have the students review their wind basics from the US Department of Energy website, Energy Kids.
Then follow the Community Wind Project activity found on the 4-H website. The students will investigate the issues associated with building and operating wind turbines in their community. Each student will assume the role of a different community member and articulate their perspective in a mock town hall meeting. Their presentation will serve as means for an informal assessment.
